Bruschetta Dip

Bruschetta in the form of a spread for crackers. Soft cheese topped with tomatoes, fresh basil and a balsamic reduction.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 6.5 oz Alouette Cheese with herbs (or other soft cheese spread like Boursin)
  • ½ cup tomatoes, chopped
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 2 Tablespoons Balsamic vinaigrette glaze or reduction
  • Pita chips, crackers or thinly sliced baguette

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. 1 Spread the soft cheese evenly over the center of a large plate, or small platter. Leave about a 1/4 inch around the edge empty and clean.
  2. 2 Evenly sprinkle and spread the tomatoes over the cheese, then the fresh basil.
  3. 3 Drizzle the balsamic glaze back and forth over the whole plate. A little goes a long way. My favorite balsamic glaze is from Trader Joe's. You can find it in any grocery store next to the salad dressings or vinegars.
  4. 4 Eat with Pita chips, crackers or spread on thin sliced of baguette.
